Tim Hart reports, “Hutchesons’ Grammar School (‘HGS’) have beaten Belmont Academy (‘Belmont’) to reach the final of the west section in the National Secondary Schools Cup.  The match, played at Titwood, in Glasgow, (Clydesdale CC), saw HGS bat first at score 124 for 9 off their twenty overs.  In reply, Finn Turner (Prestwick CC) scored 30 to give his side a chance of victory – but Aditya Mahapatra (Ferguslie CC) took 3 for 10, as Belmont finished 78 all out.  HGS will now host The Glasgow Academy in the regional final.”
