Batting first, at Titwood (Clydesdale CC), it was the visitors from Ayrshire who posted a big total – their 170 for 2 being spearheaded by a fantastic 88* from Finn Turner, with a good supporting 39* from Nari Bhandari. In reply, Holyrood Secondary School’s chase was hindered by Callum McCormack taking 4 for 12 from his four overs. Holyrood Secondary School would finish on 113 for 8. Belmont Academy’s next round tie will see them travel to Titwood again – to play Hutchesons’ Grammar School.”
